JOB TITLE: Financial Analyst
JOB STATUS: Full-time, Exempt
REPORTS TO: Director, Financial Operations
JOB PURPOSE: Under the general supervision of the Director, Financial Operations, and in collaboration with other department managers, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for performing financial analyses on operating results and business goals. In addition, this position will be responsible for vendor purchasing and inventory management reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting
Prepare quarterly Profit and Loss statements for all divisions, including variance analysis
Prepare and enter all month-end closing entries
Prepare account reconciliations and compile supporting documentation
Maintain Labor Allocations working with divisional practice directors
Assist in the preparation of quarterly Board Meeting presentations
Maintain margin analysis for buy and bill, as well as in-office dispensing pharmacy drugs
Compile and analyze standard and adhoc financial reports
Prepare monthly and quarterly invoices for Hospital Call/Directorship and maintain contracts
Other duties and projects as assigned
Purchasing Reporting (within Envi procurement web-based application)
Maintain vendor contracts to ensure pricing accuracy
Assist with managing expenditures to reduce costs
Create and distribute purchasing reporting and metrics
Work with divisional practice directors on ensuring accurate inventory management
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, 3 - 5 years finance experience, including experience in healthcare; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ambulatory/Medical Group healthcare experience preferred.
Experience working with financial systems; strong MS Excel skills.
Good judgment and sound operational focus.
Excellent problem solving, analytical and project management skills.
Strong commitment to service, with both internal clients and outside relationships.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, staff and patients.
Strong communication skills and the ability to relate to and influence people at all levels of the organization.
Ability to function effectively in a team setting
Must be flexible and comfortable in a changing environment
