The Impact Youll Make in this Role As an Automotive OEM Account Manager for 3Ms Automotive and Aerospace Solutions Division, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Lead the sourcing of new business, maintain existing business and obtain material specification approvals. Maintain and grow account relationships at all levels including direct interface with Purchasing, Materials, Design, Development, Validation and Quality Engineering as well as Program Management located in Michigan and other locations as required. Work closely with Global Key Account Managers on specifying new business and following through on local sourcing closing the home and away gap. Accountable for tracking US programs via a CRM system (Salesforce). Utilize effective leadership skills, product and market knowledge to solve complex system challenges with 3M products. Company Vehicle This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution Three (3) years of Automotive and/or Industrial sales experience in a private, public, government, or military environment Current, valid Drivers License. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business or Manufacturing Five (5) years of Automotive/Tier Sales experience Self-motivated and very comfortable working in automotive environments Superb attention to detail, analytical capacity, and both written and verbal communication Experience using Salesforce and other software for sales support Technical background is preferred with experience in adhesives, automotive interior and/or exterior applications. Strong evidence of demonstrated persistence through challenges, ability to adapt, adjust, accept feedback, and successfully work on a team unit towards a shared outcome. Experience in long-term selling cycles to large, global, complex, multi-disciplined key accounts. Strong evidence of innovative thinking and capacity for implementation Work location: Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Livonia, MI at least 2 days per week) Travel: May include up to 10% domestic Relocation Assistance: May be authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
