Summary:

A Sales Trainee is an entry-level position that will give exposure to various roles in each facet of the company, gaining experience in Warehouse Operations, Customer Service, Account Management, Purchasing, and Operations. Once trained, the employee’s opportunities to transition to other roles (including operations, quotations, project management, account management, and outside sales) will be determined by the employee’s performance, the needs of the Profit Center, and at the manager’s discretion.

Reports to: Profit Center Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must be a driven self-starter, have a positive attitude, and an entrepreneurial spirit

• Current, valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

• Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future)

Working Conditions:

Conditions vary based on the trainee’s current segment of the training and will include warehouse, office and external environments. During some segments, activities will include lifting, sorting, standing, possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Office segments may include sitting for extended periods. Various segments will include some travel – both by car and by air.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Essential Job Functions:

• Learning all aspects of CED's business with a focus on sales

• Performing daily operations & sales tasks that both teach the employee about the business and benefit the Profit Center

• Attending continual training online as well as in-person at the Profit Center and other locations

• Develop & provide customers with excellent customer service

• Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with customers

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $21 to $25 hourly.
