Your Career

Palo Alto Networks is building a world-class product management organization and continues to look for top-notch technical marketing engineers to expand the team. As a Technical Product Engineer (TPE) at Palo Alto Networks, you will play a key role in providing detailed technical information to our partners, customers, and our employees.

Be a self-starter who is eager to learn and experiment with new technologies, be able to work independently and as a teammate, identify sales challenges and address solutions as needed.

As a TPE with a focus on Attack Surface Management, you will play a key role in providing detailed technical information to our partners, customers, and our internal employees. You will be a strategic adviser to the business, driving valuable insight, guidance and feedback back into Palo Alto Networks. You will work across product teams to deliver this feedback

Your Impact

  • Maintain competitive intelligence

  • Run webinars for Technical Xpanse content

  • Manage analyst relationships to foster thought leadership and keep them informed of Xpanse’s product direction

  • Develop and direct technical collateral for marketing

  • Design and assist with Sales, SE, and Partner enablement

  • Act as a liaison between product and sales

  • Deliver roadmap presentations to strategic customers

  • Assist in feature prioritization

  • Help maintain a database of RFP’s and responses to customers and partners

  • Assist in technical writing for high-quality product guides

Your Experience

  • Experience in Cybersecurity - Best case is familiarity with the Attack Surface Management - Discovery methods, port scanning, vulnerability management, etc.

  • Familiarity with the cybersecurity landscape

  • Experience in a Customer-facing role (Sales, Sales Engineering, outward facing PM)

  • 4+ years of experience as an SE, PM, or TPE

  • Cross functional experience working with SEs, PMs, and TPEs

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

This team provides behind-the-scenes support for our products by being a source of information for our systems engineers, staying on top of the environment we sell in, and helping to implement technical solutions based on our client’s feedback and needs. As threats and technology evolve, we stay ahead to accomplish our mission.

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $118,300/yr to $191,400/yr.
