Aerotek CNC Machinist in Portland, Oregon

CNC Machinist

Paying 20 / HR - 31 / HR

Location - Portland, OR

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and operating CNC vertical and horizontal mills. These are custom set ups with 2-3 axis vertical and 3-5 axis horizontal mills.

  • Vertical milling of projects for hydraulic components, manifolds, and porting blocks.

  • Edit G&M Code.

  • Live tooling edits.

  • Vertical Milling.

  • Load and unload parts.

  • Offsets.

  • Set up fixtures or fixturing.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 year's experience doing custom CNC work.

  • G&M code and live tool editing if needed.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications.

  • Math/Trigonometry skills.

  • Able to work without direct engineering support to troubleshoot issues.

Environment/ Shift:

  • Very clean manufacturing environment about18-20 machinist in the shop, 3-4 programmers working in a fast pace department.

  • Team oriented mid-sized company, will cross train and wear multiple hats.

  • Swing shift 2:30pm – 11pm (5% Diff).
