DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Psychiatric Aide, you deliver direct care using consumer-centered approaches under direction of a Registered Nurse. You provide age-specific and patient-centered approaches to patient interactions when providing care. Duties include assisting patients with daily activities based on personal needs including dressing, hygiene, and bathing. In addition, you closely observe and look for variations in patient behavior and report any changes immediately.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40-hour work week Work hours are 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM), training hours are on 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM), shifts include a 30-minute lunch. Rotating schedule including weekends and holidays as assigned. May change based on operational needs. Please check your email, including spam folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (commonwealth title); or Six months of experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with mental health or physical illness or disabilities; or Certification as a Nurse Aide or Nursing Assistant through the Pennsylvania Department of Health. You must pass a background investigation. A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
