First Horizon Bank Operations Specialist – Central Payments in Memphis, Tennessee

Location: On site at location listed in job posting.

Summary:

Under limited supervision, this position performs a variety of routine and complex clerical duties ensuring the timely and accurate processing of paper and electronic data under strict departmental processing standards and guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately key all numeric information from images that originate from customer and inter-bank transactions statewide via ARGO teller and Vsoft platforms

  • Review and balance all out of balance transactions received from the ARGO teller platform, vaults, and department work statewide by inserting customer, teller, or department adjustments

  • Answer calls from financial centers concerning transactions processed in ARGO

  • Maintain log of all Vsoft entries received from Nashville, Maryville, Chattanooga, and Memphis

  • Research and make decisions on duplicate items received from the check center

  • Proof and encode adjustments with serial numbers

  • Prepare work for sorter capture by removing all rubber bands, paper clips, and staples

  • Work closely with check center to report issues in Vsoft

  • Communicate any system or customer issues to management

  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required in this position:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 10,000 KPH

  • Balancing experience (credits, debits)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to work with little or no supervision

  • Works well with peers and other departments

  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary

Computer and Office Equipment Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and email functions

Hours:

  • Monday - Friday, 11AM - 7:00PM, or until work is complete.
