Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector with expertise in CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation, blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and AS9100. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the precision and accuracy of our aerospace components, contributing to our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace components using various measuring equipment, including CMMs, micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify dimensional accuracy and conformance to GD&T standards.

  • Utilize CMM software to create and execute inspection programs, analyze measurement data, and generate inspection reports.

  • Conduct visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods as required to detect surface defects and anomalies.

  • Maintain comprehensive records of inspection results, including documentation of non-conformances and corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards, and participate in internal and external audits as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in quality assurance or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in the aerospace industry or a similar manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in operating CMMs and interpreting CMM reports.

  • Knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T principles.

  • Familiarity with quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.

  • Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods is a plus.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements.

  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) techniques.

  • Certification as a Quality Inspector (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector) is a plus.
