JOB TITLE: Software EngineerLOCATION: 575 Washington Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07310. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.DUTIES: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre- defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Assign tasks to the team members based on availability. Review the software and the artifacts created by various team members and modifying or suggesting changes as required. Monitor and validate manual and automated scenarios created by team for completion. Implement continuous discussion with team to ensure the required evidences to confirm that the applications are performing as intended. Perform regular check at the log level to identify vulnerabilities and suggest measures. Onboard and train new hires on required tools, applications, data, required software languages, backend applications, and framework to effectively perform duties. Assist team members as required to troubleshoot and fix any anomalies reported by the product team or other stakeholders. Support multiple projects in team and collaborate with tech holder to delivers features.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, Project Manager, or related occupation.
