Identity and Access Management (IAM) Security Senior Advisor

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and in office one to two days per week). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of one of our Pulse Point locations in Richmond, VA, Indianapolis, IN, Mason, OH, Norfolk, VA or Atlanta, GA.

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Security Senior Advisor will be part of the cyber security team partnering and working closely with multiple groups to increase automation within the identity space. Executes and automates identity provisioning and deprovisioning processes quickly, accurately, and securely. Develops, recommends, and implements enterprise information security policies, technical standards, guidelines, procedures, and other elements of an infrastructure necessary to support information security in compliance with established company policies, regulatory requirements, and generally accepted information security controls.

How you will make an impact:

  • Write and deploy code to downstream applications such as SailPoint.

  • Provision infrastructure as code for the automated identity management system.

  • Support internal SLAs (Service Level Agreements) to deliver automated identity solutions to customers.

  • Integrate applications into SailPoint developing custom connectors, integrations, and rules to meet IAM requirements.

  • Design cloud native infrastructure environments in AWS from development environments through production environments utilizing identity and cyber security best practices.

  • Mentor and consult with peers and customers.

  • Configure systems and application monitoring, define alerts, and build appropriate dashboards.

  • Integrate security tools, standards, and processes into the Software Development Life Cycle across on-premises and cloud applications.

  • Create new standards and best practices to increase effectiveness of provisioning and deprovisioning across a diverse environment.

  • Automate provisioning and integration as part of mergers and acquisitions.

  • Hands-on design, development, and documentation of application integration.

  • Lead system and network architecture support for information and network security technologies.

  • Lead development and execution of risk assessment methodologies to fit business, regulatory, and technical environment considerations.

  • Lead the development of requirements, system architecture, and software design of security products and services.

  • Lead the development of strategies for discovery, evaluation, and response to new networking attacks.

  • Develop security incident response plans and strategies.

  • Provide trouble resolution and serve as point of technical escalation on complex problems.

  • Develop reports supporting strategy and direction for management.

  • Act as a subject matter expert among peers, with manager and senior management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires BS/BA in information Technology or related field of study and a minimum of 8 years of experience in systems administration and security aspects of information systems, access management and network security technologies, network communications, computer networking, telecommunications, systems development and management, hardware, software, data, and people; experience with multiple technical and business disciplines required; requires broad-based experience to plan and design highly complex systems; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Proficient with a variety of software development/scripting languages such as C#, Java and Python PowerShell strongly preferred.

  • Experience with Java Frameworks and Docker and/or Kubernetes strongly preferred.

  • Experience automating and launching products within cyber security and/or Identity and Access Management strongly preferred.

  • 5+ years working with Active Directory strongly preferred.

  • 3+ years developing in SailPoint strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with Identity and Access Management strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with IT control processes around risk and compliance preferred.

  • Familiarity with security domain concepts such as SAML, OAUTH, OIDC, LDAP, SSO, ADFS, and Federation flow preferred.

  • Experience with Privileged Access solutions preferred.

  • Experience managing delivery full-stack technical solutions preferred.

  • Exposure to agile product management including the ability to set vision, establish a roadmap, set goals, write user stories, and execute preferred.

  • Experience leading or collaborating with cross-functional resources to manage and resolve interdependencies preferred.
