Essential Job Functions

• Work with the buy/planner to schedule production

• Responsible for supervising activities of production lines to achieve production rates that meet or exceed standards (including efficient changeovers)

• Responsible for the training and performance management of team members to ensure that each line is staffed with qualified and motivated individuals

• Ensure the identification of product quality problems and implementation of corrective actions

• Ensure adequate supply of materials

• Responsible for using correct product labor/speed standard

• Enforce all GMP’s, Safety and Environmental regulations as well as company policies

• Ensure the accurate and timely completion of paperwork

• Perform other duties/tasks as assigned.

• Forge relationships with business partners throughout the site. Communicate well and clearly, taking the time to understand manufacturing processes.

• Be responsible for the final quality of every unit that is placed into a customer’s shipper. If unsure of the quality standard required, there is a responsibility to check with the Team Leader before packing questionable product

• Operate filling packaging equipment

• Perform change-over, minor maintenance/adjustments to filling/packaging equipment.

• Perform packing checks and documentation as required

• Responsible for distribution, filling orders, and receiving components

• Ensure products meet required quality

• Bring in contractors and equipment tech to ensure equipment is running safely and reliably

• Maintains current, detailed knowledge and understanding of process unit equipment, unit operations and operating methods.

• Interprets process sample analysis and process data and adjusts process and production rates as necessary.

• Participates / communicates shift handover and other key operator communications meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

• A minimum of five years’ experience in automated filling

• 4+ years of supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment

• Experience with mechanical preventative maintenance systems

• Packaging production supervision is preferred.

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

• Must be able to work in accordance with Health and Safety and GMP regulations.

• Must be able to lift 45lbs
