Our client, a leading innovator in paints and coatings, is seeking a Chemist I to join their dynamic R&D team!

As a Chemist I , you'll play a crucial role in executing daily project tasks and lab work requests with minimal supervision. Your efficiency lies in working with defined standard operating procedures (SOPs) and making minor adjustments to established product lines to achieve performance or application efficiencies.

Location: High Point, NC

What's the Job?

  • Conduct experiments and analyze data following established protocols (SOPs).

  • Formulate and test new coatings based on project plans.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory documentation.

  • Communicate test results effectively to lab personnel and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams like quality control and pilot plants.

  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably a laboratory science (e.g., Chemistry, Material Science).

  • 0-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting.

  • Strong understanding of chemistry and/or polymers.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Commitment to safety protocols and participation in safety programs.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and a quick learner.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
