Aerotek Material Handler And Packager in Cranston, Rhode Island

Description:

Hiring Manager: Rich Vanasse 1st Shift $14.50 per hour (Mon-Fri 7:00AM - 5:00PM)

SUMMARY To process die castings from cast stage to subsequent processes and maintain quality of parts and proper packaging and inventory controls through process documentation. GENERAL

Reliable. Able to understand and follow directions (in English). Ability to work by oneself as well as interact with all departments. Ability to understand and adhere to company policy. Must be literate. Flexible.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Package product in a manner consistent with job specifications. Maintain all departmental logs and files. Assist in vibe department operations when necessary. Assist in shipping department when required. Maintain designated hours in shipping department sufficient to train and maintain knowledge sufficient to back up department in absence of shipper. Understand and follow all ISO 9001 Procedures. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Consistently improve on procedures and practices or scarring out your responsibilities.
