Description

Robert Half is seeking a Collections Specialist to join our clients' team based in Bound Brook, New Jersey. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for reaching out to commercial clients regarding past due payments, working out payment arrangements, and maintaining accurate customer records. This position requires adeptness in dealing with clients from various industries such as trucking companies and construction, and a knack for customer service and credit handling.

Responsibilities:

• Contact commercial clients regarding overdue payments and negotiate payment arrangements.

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate customer credit records.

• Work effectively with team members including direct communication with the corporate credit manager.

• Retrieve customer documentation as needed through the company's system.

• Learn and apply new skills such as processing deposits and running credit cards when required.

• Visit the post office daily to collect mail as part of the routine workflow.

• Demonstrate the ability to remain composed and professional in all situations.

• Utilize various software systems, including Microsoft Excel, IBM AS/400, and Great Plains for accounting and collections processes.

• Perform billing functions as needed.

• Provide excellent customer service at all times.

Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledgeable in the use of Accurint

• Familiar with Great Plains (GPAC) software

• Experienced in using IBM AS/400

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Able to perform Billing Functions

• Understanding of Collection Processes

• Experience as a Collector

• Knowledgeable in Credit procedures

• Excellent Customer Service skills
