The Lab Operatorfor Leica Biosystems is responsible for manufacturing and packaging finished products in line with customer needs in accordance with regulated requirements. Furthermore, there will be a focus on reviewing and improving the current processes.

This position is part of the Production Team located in Amsterdam and will be on-site reporting to the Manufactoring Team Lead. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manufacture and process products to make them ready for sale

  • Ensure all products flow through the manufacturing processes error free, and that all non-conformances are highlighted immediately to keep delays to a minimum so as to meet our customer requirements whilst sustaining and improving QDIP performance levels.

  • Actively participate and support DBS training and the use of DBS tools to drive improvements, minimise waste within the production environment and ensure value add activity levels are maximised through the use of sustainable lean techniques.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Experience of working in a fast moving, continuous improvement driven environment or other production based environment that deals with high value, low volume production lines

  • Demonstrated experience of working within the constraints of a regulated industry preferably experience of FDA and Globe Quality Management Systems.

  • At least a MBO or equivalent qualification in a life science or Biomedical discipline

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience of working in the biotechnology section with prior knowledge of medical device manufacture would be extremely advantageous
